Botanical name:
Glycyrrhiza glabra (Linn.)
Description:
A hardy herb or under shrub growing up to a height of 1.8 mtr. Roots are thick branched, red or lemon color outside and yellowish inside. Leaves are imparipinnate. Cultivated in North India.
Indications:
Vrana (ulcer), Chardi (vomiting), Trisna (thirst), Visharoga (Poisoning),Kshaya (tuberculosis), Daaha (burning sensation), Raktha pitta ( bleeding disorder), Hridroga ( heart issues).
Dosage:
1-5gm or as directed by the physician.
